Inside MLD Trading: The Tale of Two Saint Michael Pendants

At MLD Trading, we pride ourselves on offering high-quality and unique jewelry to our valued customers. Today, we want to share an intriguing story about one of our most popular items: the Saint Michael pendant necklace.

When we first began selling these necklaces on eBay, we were unaware of a small yet significant flaw. As you can see in the image above, the pendant on the left spells "Saint" as "SAINI" instead of the correct "SAINT". We initially sold many of these necklaces without realizing the error. It was only after several sales that our attentive customers began pointing out the mistake.

We immediately apologized for the oversight, but to our surprise, none of our customers asked for a remedy. They were satisfied with their purchase despite the flaw. However, once we became aware of the issue, we decided to pull the necklaces from our store to prevent further sales of the flawed version.

Then something unexpected happened. Our inbox was flooded with messages from customers asking us to bring the flawed necklaces back. We explained the situation and the mistake in the lettering, but they insisted they wanted the necklaces anyway. After careful consideration, we decided to relist the flawed necklaces, but with a clear note about the flaw in our listing.

Interestingly, other sellers on eBay started offering the same necklaces, but without disclosing the flaw to their customers. While this wasn't our concern, we were committed to providing accurate information and high-quality products to our customers.

Determined to fix the issue, we reached out to the manufacturer of the necklaces—a contact that most other sellers didn't have. After some lengthy discussions, the manufacturer agreed to correct the mistake and change the "I" to a "T". They, too, had been unaware of the error.

The manufacturer allowed us to inspect and monitor the entire production process to ensure the flaw was fixed. They created a large batch of the corrected necklaces exclusively for us. As a result, MLD Trading is now the only seller offering the correct version of the Saint Michael pendant.

Today, we offer both versions of the necklace. The flawed version is available while it lasts, at a discount, clearly identified in our listing. The corrected version, exclusive to MLD Trading, is also available for those who prefer perfection.
